Don't you love summer-time in Berlin? Yes, we do, too. Especially when we can share a cold one with our friends and listen to great music while sitting by the river-side... And this is what the next DENSEHALL is all about! Early enough to catch some sun, but late enough to have a few tasty drinks and party a bit with our great guests! This time we invited some of UK fine...st experimental musicians. Rudi Zygadlo, who is constantly exploring the overlapping borders of pop and dubstep, the legendary Cylob, one of the leading pioneers of post-rave electronica and DJ P45, a fresh young producer and DJ straight from London! But thats not all: MFO, one of Berlin's leading visual artist collectives, will be seducing your eyes throughout the night with their elaborated visual compositions. Supporting are your favourite bassline scoundrels, Disscoxx and Jade Monkey.

Particularity

The LoMus is a prize for open-source music software that is awarded every couple of years by the Association Française d’Informatique Musicale. This year I entered a program of mine called Particularity, and am happy to report it has won joint first prize. You can download it from here - a new blog under my actual name for the purposes of dropping bits of code from time to time.

I got my pack of tapes last week and they look nice, as in the picture above, although due to a mix-up at the plant, they are coloured "opaque gold" instead of the originally intended "gold." Also, when I tried to play one, my tape player took that very moment to break down! Catastrophic indeed.

At last this will shortly hit the information superbahn: a radio mix, the extended vocal mix and a nice long dub mix called "Maced In The Face." 20 minutes in total so you can truly overdose on that bassline.

I tried to make the artwork colours so that your eyes really hurt when you stare at it, and then it might kind of feel like being maced, although not quite as bad obviously. I placed the 6 by eye as I couldn't be bothered to measure it and it looked alright to me. Would any graphic designers care to chime in before I send it off?

Hi, Here is the info for the party I'm DJing at next friday the 12th here in Berlin! The event is called "Overnosed," at the RAW Tempel, Revaler Strasse 99. Others playing are Society Suckers (Mental Ind/Lux Nigra) live, DJ Flush (KilleKill/Shitkatapult), Adam Weishaupt (Salon du Katz´) and K.on.sequenz (Stereo Berlin).
Just to make clear, I am DJing at this event, whatever you may read elsewhere, thanks.
